Florida’s Minimum Wage Will Rise Gradually to $15 per hour

$15 an hour is on the horizon for Florida’s minimum wage earners. On September 30, 2021, it will increase to $10 an hour and $6.98 for tipped employees. A constitutional amendment approved by Florida voters on November 3, 2020, will raise the state minimum wage every year until it reaches $15 per hour in 2026. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity will adjust the state minimum wage rate each year starting in 2027.
